It can arguably make the SCOP overpowered, but it's really too situational for the normal COP to have so much effect. It would work for me.

Probably. The concept is hard to balance, but i prefer coming from weak to ok than from broken to ok.

Well, I'll leave it at 15/15 for every extra star, then, and we'll see how this goes.

Okay, got up a new character... one I really like, too... I'll change my profile's name if it passes... CO's name: Myral Sanders CO's gender: Male CO's Age: 19 CO's Country: Jade Sun CO Description: White hair, glasses, wears a white shirt and blue trousers. He also wears a small crop top over the shirt and brown boots. He has a straightforward look in his eyes, and a very slightly lanky build. CO's Personality: He values every life, no matter how insignificant, and he likes winning. CO's History: Myral never new his parents, nor did he know kindness... Not until that day, when the village he lived in was being raided by bandits, when the CO defending the village risked his neck to carry him out of a collapsing building, which ended up with the officer being hospitalized. Later he adopted Myral, who was beginning to feel confused... However, he slowly grew to idolize his foster father, and try his utmost to simulate him. His foster father was heavily aged, and thus passed on just as Myral graduated college. Dedicated to following his foster father's way of life, he joined the army, reasoning to save people the way he was saved, and to let them know kindness like he was let to know it. Stock quote: Sure tactics are important, but it wouldn't be possible without people ready to risk their necks for you. Hit: Maths Miss: greed Quotes:CO power/SCOP power:"Let the weak stand tall." "We can do this!" "Where there's life, there's hope." Win:"Yes." "Father... do you see me? I'm going to be just like you." "And we live to see another day..." Loss:"Useless." "I failed the trust that was put in me..." "Retreat! Full draw back, I don't want to see another person die!" CO's Theme: Coming.... CO's day-to-day skills: His units get + 0/10 on his opponents turns. CO Power Bar: xxxXXX CO Power: Fight for survival: Units get + 5/5 extra for each point of damage on them. (So at this point a tank on four units of health would get + 70/40.) Super CO Power: Stand tall: Units get + 15/10 extra for each point of damage on them. (So at this point a tank on four units of health would get + 130/70, yeah, I know it gets a bit evil at this point, but hey, it's only useful for damaged units, and it's only for one turn... it's more balanced than Kanbei(Not that he's balanced in any way... also, full health units only get the original SCOP bonus(+ 10/10)) That Should be balanced... I can't think of anyway that it's broken... not unless you consider a one health infantry sitting in a primary position and not being able to be taken down by a couple of tanks broken. Also, yeah, I stole CO power quote num 3 from days of ruin, but hey, it fit the character. EDIT: changed D-T-D to 5/0, changed CO power to 5/5 dropped a star, changed SCOP to 15/10 one less small star makes it six stars.

Hmm... well on the one hand you’re still becoming weaker because you’re not at full health, but that still seams hella broken. Wax will have to get a good look at this one.
That reminds me, I still haven’t added my updated character yet. I should do that.

True, Jinn, there are calculations to be done. Things could be broken if those didn't come only to low HP units. Though, this is hard to quantify and balance as a whole.
The day-to-day abilities basically give: +5/+5 per HP lost... Well 1 HP units can't be killed, and units that are repairing on cities are nigh invulnerable, even with 4 HPs. You can get your 4 HP units to 160% defense on cities without COPs. This is overpowered, period. Though, the stat calculations give strange percentages. Sidenote: The SCOP boost is still the COP default boost of 10/10.
Unit HP: Stats -> COP Stats -> SCOP Stats 10HP: 100/100 -> 110/110 -> 110/110 9HP: 94.5/105 -> 108/125 -> 112.5/135 8HP: 88/110 -> 104/140 -> 112/160 7HP: 80.5/115 -> 98/155 -> 108.5/185 6HP: 72/120 -> 90/170 -> 102/Invincible 5HP: 62.5/125 -> 80/185 -> 92,5/Invincible 4HP: 52/130 -> 68/Invincible -> 80/Invincible 3HP: 40.5/135 -> 54/Invincible -> 64,5/Invincible 2HP: 28/140 -> 38/Invincible -> 46/Invincible 1HP: 14.5/145 -> 20/Invincible -> 24,5/Invincible
That breaks the game. I advise you to base your CO on something else than HP loss, or else fix a cap from which this ability starts to activate. Also: "As balanced as Kanbei."... I don't want to see that anymore. Kanbei is unbalanced since there is a type of unbalance known as Kanbei disease.

Actually, looking at that table, I can see where the unbalance is....
It's the defence, actually, the quantity of defense that my CO can rack up ATM is rediculous. I'm changing it up now.
Also Note: I ment more balanced than Kanbei, not as balanced as Kanbei. 'Super COP bonus is 10/10'... noted.

I've got a thing to say to those edits. As much as gaining defense with HP loss is overpowered, gaining offense with HP loss that lowers offense in and of itself is pretty useless. Even 10% offense by HP lost isn't really overpowered since anyway you never go above the 100% offense. A chart speaks more. Again. Unit HP | D2D Stats | COP Stats | SCOP Stats | 10 HP | 100/100 | 110/110 | 110/110 | 9 HP | 94.5/100 | 108/115 | 117/120 | 8 HP | 88/100 | 104/120 | 120/130 | 7 HP | 80.5/100 | 98/125 | 119/140 | 6 HP | 72/100 | 90/130 | 114/150 | 5 HP | 62.5/100 | 80/135 | 105/160 | 4 HP | 52/100 | 68/140 | 92/170 | 3 HP | 40.5/100 | 54/145 | 75/180 | 2 HP | 28/100 | 38/150 | 54/190 | 1 HP | 14.5/100 | 20/155 | 29/Invincible |
Maybe less broken than previously, but when all your units above 3HP are as viable (or more) as your enemy's full HP units... and that's not talking about the meatshields. Story cut short, you day-to-day is close to nothing (basically it allows your damaged units to have a firepower close to that they'd have with 1 more HP), but your COPs either save the day or break the game, depending on personal views. I'm still heavily skeptical since your COPs look that powerful. And the fact that your SCOP gives outright invincibility to units in reparation when they have like 3 HP. To me you should just have your COP cost slightly more since your 7HP units become as much of juggernauts that an enemy full HP unit under COP. But with your weakness day-to-day, this could work as a 2-star. It's a sorta-half-approval since we're all pretty powerful in there. That would allow it, but you might be a tier above some with your unholy meatshields under your 2-star CO Power.

I don't suppose anyone remembers me? I applied for this a long while ago-May 2011, I believe it was. If anyone remembers Ray Camale, yeah, that was me. Couldn't think of how to balance him while keeping the whole concept I was going for together at the time. I presume I can't actually get at that post, seeing as the servers changed over-if anyone can correct me, please do-so I'll see what I can come up with in the meantime.

I do remember you, but this topic is for signups. Meaning you should post a datasheet for you, or at least ask precisely for advice, advice I don't recall you asked just now.
If you seem to be wanting to rework on Rey Camale, do. If you want to start a new character, do. I am not going to be here to make the choice for you. The best I can do is judge and approve (or not).

Err... Err... I just realised that it would be kind of weird to be able to deal more damage when your on 8 health then on full.... (8 health when SCOP activated)
So... mind if I change the dtd? (I'll also add one star to the COP because this one is likely to a little more powerful than my last dtd.

Post a new sheet if you like. Though, calculating everything will bore me real quick, so I'd advise you to study for this first and know your numbers before posting, so you won't change your mind mid-approval just like you did.
You know, survival instinct and feelings of danger, when extrapolated, can give people more will to defend themselves, allowing slightly damaged units to recognize the danger weighing upon them and therefore struggling more. It's just more efficiency.
Well, I won't influence you because I am not supposed to; have fun reworking.

Okay, CO back up, with(hopefully) the passing grades.
Hit: Maths Miss: greed
Quotes:
CO power/SCOP power: "Let the weak stand tall." "We can do this!" "Where there's life, there's hope."
Win: "Yes." "Father... do you see me? I'm going to be just like you." "And we live to see another day..."
Loss: "Useless." "I failed the trust that was put in me..." "Retreat! Full draw back, I don't want to see another person die!"
CO's Theme: Coming.... CO's day-to-day skills: Units get +5/0 for each point of damage on them. (So a tank with four units of health left would get + 30/0.) CO Power Bar: xxxXXX CO Power: Fight for survival: Units get + 5/5 extra for each point of damage on them. (So at this point a tank on four units of health would get + 70/40.) Super CO Power: Stand tall: Units get + 15/5 extra for each point of damage on them, and can move an extra space if they have 5 health points or less left. (So at this point a tank on four units of health would get + 130/70, and be able to move an extra space)
(I decided the dtd I was changing it to didn't fit Myral.)
